Friendly Materials® at the TEDxBarcelona
Rita Barata, architect and Friendly Materials® Manager at PMMT, will be one of the speakers at the TEDxBarcelona that will take place the 5th of October in Barcelona. Under the theme ‘Solutions for tomorrow’, TEDxBarcelona will gather fifteen speakers to present solutions and ideas that inspire us and that are related with the challenges that we will have to face in the future - such as nourishment, health and environment.
Rita's talk, ‘How materials affect the air we breathe’, aims to understand how building materials can affect our health. It will be an introduction for Friendly Materials®, a tool intended for everyone: For each person to choose to live in healthy spaces based on the best construction materials.
With the edition ‘Solutions for tomorrow’, TEDxBarcelona wants to present entrepreneurs and change-makers who are working on solutions for tomorrow, solutions that surprise and inspire us. The issues addressed will variate from the zero waste movement, how we can gamify our health, how multilingualism affects the brain, how to eliminate food waste, dogs that detect cancer, musical instruments for everyone, air quality, education in the world of medicine and how to actively use our breathing.
Each of these ideas will be presented as a 10-15 minutes TED talk. The event will take place at CosmoCaixa Barcelona on the 5th of October, from 15:30 to 20:30.
