Ceramic and stone materials
Solid surface
Ceramic tiles or slabs are rigid and flat surfaces made by clay, silica, feldspar, pigments and other raw materials. They are used as floor or wall finishing, both on interior and exterior areas.
The natural stone cladding applied in indoor areas usually has a polished finish that gives them higher resistance to moisture and abrasion. Even though this kind of surface is normally used in bathroom or kitchen’s counter tops, there are also several options available for floor and wall finishing.
The most common types of natural stone are granite, marble and quartz.
Ceramic, as well as stone materials, is fireproof, inert and highly resistant to high temperatures and to the passage of time.
